Spice it Up

It’s easy to get caught up in the principles of religion, but it often leaves us without the results a true relationship with God can provide us.  Our focus becomes the task versus the relationship.  When we become task-oriented and lose sight of the relationship we grow weary and bored.

We can’t seek to confine God to just a set of rules and regulations like that’s all He is.  He’s so much more and what He wants is the relationship.  Too often we seek to tame and domesticate God by turning Him into this taskmaster that only cares about the mastery of these earthly principles.   We must grow to see beyond the rules and regulations and into what matters the most---the relationship and true intimacy.  It’s through nurturing our relationship with God that we gain the strength, ability, and will to do what He advises.  It doesn’t mean we go around breaking the rules because those principles are important, but they aren’t “it.”

We serve a perfect God and He empowers us to do ALL things. However, this power can only be received through the energy we invest in developing a relationship with Him. Nurture the relationship.

Today refuse to approach God in the same drab, uniform, and ritualistic way.  Spice things up!  God is the creator of all things so I imagine He gets bored with the same approach to worship.  Let’s play our part and make our worship experience fun and exciting.  Ask God to reveal new ways to enjoy life with Him.  Change up your routine.  Adjust your prayer life and start by asking God what you can do for him today.  Go to the park.  Share a picnic. Go on a Sweet-Frog date. Don't grow weary or bored in your relationship with Christ.

Spice it up.
