Holiday Beauty

Christmas season is a busy time for everyone, but it is also filled with fun parties to celebrate with friends and family. Since most of us have too many other things to worry about this season, I have tried to take some of the guess work out by listing a few holiday beauty looks that you can easily achieve. Inspired by the Christmas season, all of these looks can be done easily, and they will have you looking like the belle of the ball in no time!

Night Sky: For those of you who love to play up your eyes, a navy smoky eye is the way to go. Start with an eyeliner on the upper lash line, then sweep a deep blue all over the lid. Next, take a medium blue shade and sweep it into the crease to blend the darker blue. Take that same medium shade and line the lower lash line with it to achieve that smoldering effect. It is important to note that the key to this look is blending the shadows in, which gives the eye a smoky, modern look. Top off the look with a shimmery champagne shadow and highlight the brow bone and tear ducts. Finish off with 2-3 coats of mascara and you are done!

Sugar Plum Fairy: This is a shade that compliments every eye, skin, and hair color. You can do a smoky eye with a pretty dark plum shade by following the same steps I just listed with the navy shadow, or you can do a bold lip with a pretty plum lip color. This color is unexpected on the lips, but it is pretty and feminine all at the same time.

Christmas Classic: Think of the old Hollywood Christmas movies from the 40's and 50's. Sweep a metallic gold eye shadow on the upper lid and lower lash line for a hint of sparkle and glamor. Top off the look with a red lip, which gives the look that classic and festive feel.

Gilded Beauty: This is the look I am really looking forward to wearing this holiday season. Sweep a metallic bronze eye shadow on the upper lid only. Next, line the upper lash line with a black liquid or gel liner and wing it out at the end. Sweep a little peach blush on the cheeks and apply a peach lip color to finish it off. This look is neutral, but very sophisticated, as it does not require any bold colors to look just as festive.

Winter Berries: For this look, just line the upper lash line and wing it out at the end, creating a cat eye. Be sure to include lots of mascara to define the eye. Then, just apply a berry lip color. This look is minimal, but it still packs a big punch. It is elegant, yet it has a cool, effortless feel that will be sure to get you noticed this holiday season!
