Every Detail Matters

I was in the car with a few friends the other night. They were in the front, caught up in conversation with each other, and I was staring out the window in awe of how bright the moon was shining. I randomly thought of the movie scene in Dear John where John places his thumb up to the moon and says, "No matter where you are in the world, the moon is never bigger than your thumb." While the girls were laughing up front, I was closing one eye and holding my thumb up to the luminous full moon in the nightfall's sky.

John was right; No matter where you are in the world, the moon is never bigger than your thumb. Today, I would like to add an unfathomable twist onto John's captivating thought:

No matter where you are in the world, God sees you and cares about every detail of your life.

Every smile.
Every tear.
Every life mile, and all of your life's years.

Every detail matters.

Every laugh.
Every fear.
Every storm, and as every storm clears.

Every detail matters.

Ladies, God cares about you because He formed you in His very hands. He cares about you because He longs for a relationship with you. He cares about you because He's your Heavenly Father. Every detail matters to Him because He wants to be with us on every single part of our journey- every twist, every turn, and every straight path. The destination and the journey are all about our true treasure in life, the Lord our God. Our journey would be meaningless if we did not allow God to journey with us. He is our destination, my dear sisters. Turn your eyes on Him.

One of the biggest lies we could ever believe to be true about God is that He overlooks us. Ladies, do not believe in the lies that the Devil uses to draw you away from the Lord. Believe in the truths of God that fuel your pursuit of Him.

God wants to wipe every tear, shape every smile, and make His gift of your life worthwhile.

Think of the magnitude of the universe that surrounds us. Our Creator painted every ounce of it. Now think of how many people that exist in the universe. The same God that made Heaven and Earth made you, and me, and all the other billions of people in the world. He created you with every good and right intention.

He sees us in our hurt, and He hurts with us. He sees us in our battles, and He fights our battles with us. He sees us when we rejoice, and He rejoices with us. He is with us always.

No one knows you better than God, and nothing can separate you from His love.

"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord," (Romans 8:38-39, NLT).

Our God is a caring Father. Here are some encouraging and affirming verses to reflect on:

"And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows," (Luke 12:7, NLT).

"Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?" (Matthew 6:36).

"Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you," (1 Peter 5:7, NLT).

"So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs," (Matthew 6:31-32, NLT).

"The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever," (121:8, NLT).

"The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives," (Psalm 37:23, NLT).

"This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go,” (Joshua 1:9).

God wants to be involved in everything that concerns you. We may be limited, but He is not. We may not be able to keep track of everything going on, but He does. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight (Hebrews 4:13).

Be encouraged today, dear sisters. For the Lord your God is with you and for you, wherever you go, for all of your days.
