In the book of Colossians, the Apostle Paul prays that believers would be strengthened with all might, according to God’s glorious power, for all patience and long-suffering with joy. In short, that they would be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be joyfully patient. Note how he does not intercede for believers to be empowered for signs, wonders or mountain-moving sermons. It is easy to be used by God for such things. The challenge comes during the waiting stages, the limbo between breakthroughs, when one feels nothing is happening, nothing is moving forward. It is during these times that we catch a glimpse of the true state of our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Are we allowing him to permeate us with an attitude that is positive, hopeful and enduring, or are we shoving His influence aside, intent on being downcast, whining and uninspired?
Dear friend, we are children of the most High, heaven to be our home. We are saved, redeemed, reconciled with God. Let us rejoice and persevere through all seasons. Such both delights the heart of our Father, as well as acts as an impressive witness to the unbeliever and believer alike.
A LONG-AWAITED MIRACLE
Upon hearing about our MDANTSANE Gospel Crusade from her pastor, 64-year-old Xoliswa Mtyongwe was eager to attend. Having suffered from severe pains in her body for over a decade, this precious lady has grown weary. After countless consultations and surgeries, she was desperately trusting the Lord for a miracle. “For ten years I have been in pain. Not even the doctors could help me,” she commented. During the healing prayer, Xoliswa received the long-awaited touch from heaven. “My body is healed, I have no more pain!” she exclaimed. Jumping up and down on stage, she shared her testimony. “I struggled to wear shoes, I could not do anything for myself. I missed many church services and funerals and could do nothing but lie in bed.” She explained how her pastor and neighbors all knew of her agony. It was all she spoke of. “Now, I feel well, I am healed! I am so excited. After all this time, I can wear shoes again. I am free, completely free.”
Hallelujah! What a mighty God we serve!
