A Good Work

And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. (Philippians 1:6 AMP)

God is definitely always working within us. He is a faithful and consistent God; a constant friend. Although He is working in us, we must participate in that process as well. We are first spirit but we are also physical manifestations of God's creative work. We are a representation of His word.

Being a representation of God's word [work] takes effort. The effort that needs to take place is not only about a physical fixation but an internal growth and development that produce external results.

I am definitely guilty of always trying to fix an area of my life, expecting things to change when I have not actually done the work that will bring forth a change in character. A lot of times we look for a different outcome by doing the same thing but with an unusual twist on it. It might look distinct or separate from us, but it is in actuality the same thing.

A teacher of mine once said that sometimes even when we know something is unhealthy for us, but if it is the only way we know, we will continue that path because we do not know another way; and if we do not take the time to learn something else that will be more beneficial, we will continue the harmful patterns, because it is all we know.

God loves us and wants the best for our lives, so much so that he began the work in us and for us; a work that we do not always initially understand.

Each person's life exemplifies something uniquely different and important in this world but most importantly to the work that Christ is doing. If that were not so, you would not be alive and reading this right now. Thank God you are. Thank God for your life. We take simply breathing for granted. Even the breath of life is part of the marvelous work that is being done within us.

God wants more of you. There is something, in particular, that He wants from you and your heart. There is another level of deepening that has to come through the life, and the gifts that He has blessed you with. Right now, we may still only be on the surface of what God has for us. We must go deeper! There must be another level of worship and understanding.

We are walking with God.

Walking by faith is an active journey.

It is a daily building of communication and relationship with Christ.
